Founded in 1990, OPEN STRINGS offers a fine selection of string instruments, student outfits, bows, cases, rentals, strings and accessories.

Open Strings Studio offers the highest calibre of musical instruction. Our teachers are motivated by a commitment to instil and foster a life-long love of music. Lessons are individually tailored to meet the needs and interests of each student and include participation in a variety musical activities.

  * For the past six seasons, the GSO has featured the Guelph Youth Music Centre’s student orchestras in an annual side-by-side concert. We are pleased to announce that the newly formed Guelph Youth Symphony Orchestra (Chris Cigloea, Musical Conductor) will join us on stage on Sunday February 19th 2012 at The River Run Centre to perform Carnival Overture by Oskar Morawetz. This will be an exciting experience for players and audience alike.

  *The Royal Conservatory of Music is now offering a Preparatory Theory Exam for younger students. Sample papers can be downloaded from the RCM examination’s homepage.
